Impact of Different Design Rainfall Pattern Peak Factors on Urban Flooding

In order to investigate the influence of different design rainfall peaks on urban flooding characteristics based MIKE hydrodynamic model, inundation process scenarios were extrapolated for recurrence periods and three single- double-peak types in Zhoukou city as an example, equivalent values total area compared analysed. The results show that bimodal has a higher risk than unimodal same ephemeris return period. For rainfall, when period is less 20 years, more advanced peak, severe inundation. When greater further back rainfall. difference between due double-peaked decreases increases.
